Hello,

Things are starting to progress along quite a bit now. My uncle and his family is living in an apartment, while they get their house rebuilt. I finally went back home to Santa Monica. I need to go home some time. I’ve gone through some trying times lately. There’s been quite a bit of loss, and tragedy.

I don’t mean to be selfish, but I’ve finally gone back to do what I love to do, which is surf. I haven’t been out surfing in a few months. I felt it was more important to help my uncle, aunt, and their children in their time of need. Now that they are off to a good start on the road to recovery, and rebuilding, I felt it was time for me to step back, and go back to my own life.

Hi Y’all. How are things going? We are still recovering / rebuilding from the fires in Malibu, CA. Some of the families have lost everything. I personally talked to some of our neighbors, and they are devastated by the disaster.

One of our neighbors that live across the street from us had suffered minor damage to their home during the October fires. They had just finished fixing the damages, which they had paid out of their own pockets. Actually, that’s not entirely true. They are waiting for the insurance company to reimburse them. Now for the second time this year, they had to evacuate, and this time their house burned down completely. Here we go again; they are filing another insurance claim.

We unfortunately suffered the same fate as our neighbors across the street. We found out when were allowed to come back from our evacuation. Our house burned down completely too, but our neighbors next to us only suffered minor damage to their house. Now we are in the process of rebuilding and filing insurance claims as well. Pray us and the community here.

I got to thinking; I need to help the families in our neighborhood during this time of need. I have decided to join payperpost so I can write, and donate money to my favorite charity, focusing on wild fires in Southern California. I hope to write many articles, and donate money to help my friends, family, and neighbors during this tragic time. Wish me luck.
